I would have rated it higher, however when I moved in the unit there was ice covered entrance and it made it very dangerous for the movers and me to walk and get what we needed to do. I am hoping that in the future I do not have the same situation if there is a snow or ice event. They need to make sure that the roads are passable for all the units and not just the ones that are on the "sunny" side of the building.

Dead rat found in unit on move in day
Employee was nice and got the dead rat out of the unit. Upsetting that the unit was not cleaned prior to me moving in. Employee was nice and helped me clean. Location is easy to find. Nice staff.

Hallways & Elevator are very small and the building was in the 50 degree range which was colder than my other storage unit.

Unreliable access
DO NOT USE. Security system is not reliable. The security system at the gate did not recognize my access code, so I could not get my stuff. This was bad because I had rented a moving van for just the one day. I had to rent the van AGAIN the next day, and I talked to the manager who said that the system recorded my attempts with the correct code, but didn't let me in. I asked the manager to reimburse me for my rental van costs. He denied. The regional manager was unresponsive. There are plenty of places to store your stuff. StorageMart is not the right choice if you value reliability or if you are renting a moving vehicle.
