Okay for some need storage, just not for me
You can NOT see the units before you sign documents, etc. If there is an issue you have to call the customer service number, which you can end up on hold. There is no 'live person' at the site,, I was told there was someone, when i paid for my unit before seeing it. I used a third party site, when I thought I was dealing directly with Federal Storage. My card got charged 4x, due to an online issue int the lobby, even with a customer service issue, It might be okay for some, but not for me. Also, the back of the property had a shabby wooden fence, no wire fence for security that borders someone's house/property. The customer service did help when i asked for a refund, etc. the day I went to the unit, and canceled.
I would rather pay more for a better unit and site.

We are sorry to hear about your experience. Our facilities are fully automated. We have a maintenance technician that is on-site to take care of any maintenance that needs to be performed. As for holding for a customer support representative, they strive to answer calls as quickly as possible. The first 6 days of the month have a much higher call volume and the wait time could be a little longer than usual. We are happy to hear that customer support was able to take care of your charges. As for security at the facility, the fence, gates and cameras do a great job helping keep the facility secure. We hope that you'll give us another try should you need storage in the future.
